104. A White Garden

We woke up to a very white world this morning. It has been a couple years since we have had this much snow.

Ironically we had just had the first visit of the season from our resident hedgehogs the night before, much to the great excitement of the dogs. They came out of hibernation a few days too early. They have a regular route from the cottage behind us, around the walled garden and then under our back garden gate to forage in amongst the pots in the back garden. Then under the fence to forage in the lavender bushes in the front garden before heading off down the round on the rest of their rounds. You can almost set the clock by them.

Flora and Maisie weren’t quite sure what to make of the snow. It is their first big encounter.
